The students will be visiting Christopher Newport University (CNU) from July 12 to July 26 to a attend a 2-week summer session. During their time at the university, they will attend English classes and special lectures. They will also enjoy visits to scientific and historical sites in the area.
SCNN is seeking individuals and/or families that are interested in hosting a student or two for 2-nights/3-days. Host families need not be Newport News residents. In fact, several hosts are located in the surrounding counties of York, Poquoson and James City as well as the City of Hampton. Students are to be picked up at their CNU dorm on the afternoon of Friday, July 18 (after at 2 pm and before dinner), and should be returned after dinner on Sunday, July 20 (or by 9 pm).
