German Christmas Market Returns

3-9 pm both days in City Center, Oyster Point
Join us as we celebrate the holiday season with an "Americanized" version of the classic "German Christmas Market" or Weihnachtsmarkt. This event is a nod to the market held in Newport News' Sister City of Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The market operates over two days from 3-9 pm and features 30+ vendors, German themed food, locally made German style beer and the return of our beloved handmade Gluhwein pottery mugs. We hear that Santa might stop by!
NOTE: This event is hosted by SCNN and City Center at Oyster Point and is not an official event of the City of Newport News.
Accepting 2026 Vendor Applications
Sister Cities Newport News (SCNN) German Christmas Market or WEIHNACHTSMAKT is located in the retail area of City Center, Oyster Point. Vendor spaces are limited. Preference is given to those offering handmade items. Vendors will be selected to ensure a variety of products and not all will be approved. Insurance is required. The nonprofit Sister Cities of Newport News, Inc. is responsible for beer & wine sales on site.
