Make an Impact with Give Local 757
"24 hours of giving"

vISIT GIVE LOCAL 757

What is Give Local 757 and how does it work?

Give Local 757 is an annual online fundraising event hosted by the Peninsula Community Foundation (PCF) to raise money, awareness and capacity for local nonprofits. It is an innovative initiative that connects citizens to local causes and engages the Hampton Roads region in philanthropy. To date, over 21,000 citizens have participated and contributed more than $1.8 million to hundreds of local causes. For 24 hours, you can make a donation using the "Give Local" site.
The minimum donation is just $10.

What will Sister Cities do with my donation?

Travel has finally resumed and all 2023 "Give Local" donations will be used to support re-starting our in-person exchanges. Already this year we have sent a delegation to Ireland and received the Lord Mayor from Greifswald, Germany and his delegation. More exchange visits are planned including an incoming signing delegation from Ireland. Our annual operating budget is roughly $100,000 and every dollar donated makes a difference!

Thank You 2022 Donors!

SCNN raised just over $4,200 in 2022.
An amazing 1.7 million was raised overall by non-profits in the GL 757 campaign - WOW!!!!

In 2022, we used the funds donated to create a home here in Newport News will allows us the opportunity to introduce our Sister City partnerships to our local community.
CITY SPACE is a converted retail store in the heart of Newport News' City Center at Oyster Point. It's an opportunity to connect and learn now, while travel remains limited due to COVID 19 restrictions. Once exchanges resume, CITY SPACE will provide us a space to welcome international guests and introduce their culture to those unable to travel on an exchange.

Over $4,000 was donated in May 2021
to support CITY SPACE!

COVID-19 IMPACT STATEMENT
For more than a year, In
ternational travel through the Sister City program has been halted due to COVID-19. In May 2020 we thought travel would resume quickly - once the virus was "under control". We were wrong. The pandemic has lead to new fears and concerns about international engagement, making our mission to connect Newport News to the world even more important. Please support us as we pivot and adapt at this unusual time. THANK YOU!
