What is Give Local 757 and how does it work?

Give Local 757 is an annual online fundraising event hosted by the Peninsula Community Foundation (PCF) to raise money, awareness and capacity for local nonprofits. It is an innovative initiative that connects citizens to local causes and engages the Hampton Roads region in philanthropy. To date, over 21,000 citizens have participated and contributed more than $1.8 million to hundreds of local causes. For 24 hours, you can make a donation using the "Give Local" site.
The minimum donation is just $10.

What will Sister Cities do with my donation?

All "Give Local" donations support international programs in Newport News. Current initiatives include:

Educational Outreach in CITYSPACE our office/gallery in City Center Oyster Point
Incoming International Exchanges
Exploration of New Partnerships in Malawi and Australia
The Japanese Teahouse located in Newport News Park
An International City Cycling Campaign with our German Sister City

​COVID-19 IMPACT STATEMENT
For more than a year, International travel through the Sister City program has been halted due to COVID-19. In May 2020 we thought travel would resume quickly - once the virus was "under control". We were wrong. The pandemic has lead to new fears and concerns about international engagement, making our mission to connect Newport News to the world even more important. Please support us as we pivot and adapt at this unusual time. THANK YOU!
