What started as a few question to entertain members at our Annual Meeting has turned into my favorite SCNN event. I observe with amazement as players, both young & old, gaze over questions, picking apart at their collective memory to tease out the best answer to what are not only hard, but many times obscure questions on international affairs, culture, sports and geography. This year, 16 teams (96 attendees) will tackle the question bank. Who will take home the prized "Williams Cup of Global Knowledge"? I'll let you know tomorrow. kzh
Saturday, March 29, will be the 7th Annual GlobalBee International Quiz.

Proves how small our world is that they are dancing to a local's song! Looking forward to having 34 of Greifswald's students and teachers here in Newport News this April, and their Mayor and his delegation visit this fall. If you want to get "HAPPY" with us, shot me an email. KZH
It's official; and about time! A new website is born for our 32 year old organization.
It is my goal to make the site a central location for not only general information on who we are, but specifics on what we are doing and how you benefit! Let me know what is missing, what you like and even what you don't. And of course there are the typos (don't be afraid to point them out to me, my ego left the building about 5 years ago.) - KZH |
