Saturday, March 29, will be the 7th Annual GlobalBee International Quiz.
What started as a few question to entertain members at our Annual Meeting has turned into my favorite SCNN event. I observe with amazement as players, both young & old, gaze over questions, picking apart at their collective memory to tease out the best answer to what are not only hard, but many times obscure questions on international affairs, culture, sports and geography. This year, 16 teams (96 attendees) will tackle the question bank. Who will take home the prized "Williams Cup of Global Knowledge"?  I'll let you know tomorrow.   kzh

Received this video from our German Sister City...very cool!  "Happy" singer/songwriter Pharrell Williams is a Tidewater native - Va Beach, specifically.  Proves how small our world is that they are dancing to a local's song!  Looking forward to having 34 of Greifswald's students and teachers here in Newport News this April, and their Mayor and his delegation visit this fall.
