Celebrate the International Side of Newport News!

This festival is newly revamped to encompasses the City Center shopping district on Mariners Row in Oyster Point. The festival explores cultures from around the world and features marketplace vendors, hands-on exhibits, entertainment and  food/beverage trucks.
 

​Special to this year's event is the celebration of the City's 40th anniversary of the sister city partnership with Neyagawa, Osaka, Japan. Special exhibits and children's craft with be available at CITYSPACE, the new office of Sister Cities Newport News located at the end of Mariners Row.

Newport News Fall Festival
October 1 & 2,  2022

Southeast Virginia's biggest traditional craft show features over 200 vendors, traditional crafts and trades, folk entertainment, food vendors ($), and children's activities. Admission FREE / $10 parking per car. Festival includes Crafts & Marketplace Area (with handmade and juried crafts), traditional craft & trade displays and demonstrations, and a "Country Store Area" with farmers market including canned goods and fresh produce.

 Newport News Children's' Festival of Friends - May 7, 2022

Fun in the park for the whole family! This event is FREE and educational. An annual must go to event for many local families. Over 100 hands-on activities including make-and-take crafts, rides, fitness activities, educational exhibits, entertainment, costume characters, and displays. Sister Cities is there to share information about our Sister City Partners in Japan, China, Germany and France. We hope you will come and learn and leave with an desire to travel the world! Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Newport News Park. $5.00 parking fee per vehicle. Festival admission and all activities (including all rides) are free. Food vendors on site ($). No pets permitted in the festival area. Newport News Park is located at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Ft. Eustis Boulevard. From I-64E, take Exit 247 and turn left onto Jefferson Avenue. From I-64W, take Exit 250B and follow the signs to Newport News Park. For more information, call 757-926-1400.
